Fresh off winning the Blizzard Series, Giovanni Bromante eyes the Southern Super Series finale this weekend at New Smyrna Speedway.  While the young driver is no stranger to the Florida racetrack, this will be his first Super Late Model start there.

“I am very excited for this weekend,” said Bromante.  “I have raced at New Smyrna Speedway multiple times and had success there, so to get back there, this time in a Super Late Model is very exciting and I’m looking forward to it.”

Bromante was behind the wheel a handful of times at New Smyrna Speedway last season in a Pro Late Model.  The New York driver picked up a win and grabbed a fourth-place finish in the Speedweeks finale.

“The key to bring successful there is to be calm and let the race play out,” said Bromante.  “You also have to make sure to not make any risky passes because the place bites back fast.”

This weekend’s race marks the first of two straight races Bromante will drive the Anthony Campi Racing No. 81 at New Smyrna Speedway.  Saturday is the Hart to Heart 100 with the Southern Super Series followed by the Florida Governor’s Cup on Saturday, November 9th.

“It’s great to have two races in a row there and to have a 100-lap race there will be a great way to help prepare for the Governor’s Cup,” said Bromante.  “Anthony (Campi) and I tested there a couple of weeks ago and we got the car really consistent, so I am very excited to go into the weekend knowing we have the car figured out.”

Originally scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, the race has been delayed until Sunday, October 20th due to weather.  Fans will still be able to watch the race live on
